Project Overview

Digit Sparx was engaged by Mahr Metrology India to deliver a custom calibration management system for Suzuki motors Gujarat. The objective was to simplify calibration data handling, synchronize with Mahr’s FLM software, and provide efficient gauge management under the plant’s strict IT and security protocols.

Objective

To design and implement a Gauge Management Software (GMS) that automates calibration scheduling, tolerance calculation, and report generation — while maintaining compliance with Mahr’s restricted system environment.

The project was officially billed to Mahr Metrology India, while on-site deployment and training were executed directly at Suzuki motors Gujarat by the Digit Sparx team.

Key Challenges

• No API access permitted by the Mahr system.
• Certain keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Ctrl + A) disabled.
• Manual data transfer between the calibration machine and reporting systems.
• Need for a secure yet user-friendly workflow within restricted environment.

Our Solution

Digit Sparx developed a hybrid clipboard-based synchronization model to bridge data without API integration.

Implementation Highlights:

• Web-based interface to list items with a “Calibrate” button for each instrument.
• Automatic copy-to-clipboard function capturing key details (control number, serial number, make, model, location).
• Manual Ctrl + V paste into Mahr’s interface or Excel/Teams reports.
• Fully compliant with system security and audit requirements.
